Consumers can now assess their “Peace Footprint”
Each act of purchase, consumption and investment by individuals in rich world countries contributes to, or detracts from, activity in war zones. For example: coffee, oil, cotton and diamonds.
An individual will now be able to scan their receipts using the special Peace footprint application and the camera on their smartphone, which will analyze their purchases and compare them against a database.
They will receive a score and short report giving information and suggestions of how they could change their shopping habits to promote peace.
